No Option But Sabotage: A BookTalk with Thomas Zeitzoff
On Friday, December 4, 2026, at 10 AM, the Program on Extremism at The George Washington University will hold a discussion with Dr. Thomas Zeitzoff, Professor in the School of Public Affairs at American University, to explore his recently published book, No Option But Sabotage: The Radical Environmental Movement and the Climate Crisis. Through extensive quantitative research, in-depth interviews, and case studies, No Option But Sabotage attempts to answer the questions: What happened to the radical environmental movement that was once labeled the number one domestic terrorism threat? And how will current activists adapt to confront the climate crisis? This discussion will focus on Dr. Zeitzoff’s book, as well as its implications for the domestic extremism landscape today.
This event will be moderated by Jordyn Abrams, Research Fellow at the GWU Program on Extremism.
