Civic Minutes: On Hatred

Civic Minutes

"Civic Minutes: On Hatred" is a short-form podcast series that delivers focused, reflective conversations on hate, identity, and democracy—two to three minutes at a time. It's built around the belief that civic discourse shouldn't be long-winded to be meaningful. Each episode isolates one idea, quote, or moment that reveals something critical about our societies, especially in times of division.

The first season, titled "On Hatred," features Dr. h.c. Katharina von Schnurbein, the European Commission's Coordinator on Combating Antisemitism and Fostering Jewish Life. Through her voice, the podcast explores how Europe is responding to rising antisemitism, from legislation to education, from social media regulation to interfaith dialogue.

Civic Minutes is:

  • A conversation, not a lecture
  • A weekly drop, not an information overload
  • A way to slow down just long enough to think clearly about civic responsibility, minority protection, and democratic resilience

Hosted by Dr. Omar Mohammed, with commentary and editorial perspective by Solenn Durand.
